By default the maximum resolution is 1024×768Click Devices and then Insert Guest Additions CD ImageSelect D CD DriveSelect VBoxWindowsAdditionsClick NextClick NextClick InstallClick InstallSoftware will get being installedRestart *virtual* machine (not the real computer)Now you get get disappointed. You won’t be able to get the maximum resolution 🙂Click Preferences and then……select Display and Hint and……type the maximum resolutionImportant! You will be able to set up the maximum resolution ONLY in a full screen mode. If you decide to keep the virtual machine in half of your PC window, the only half of the maximum resolution will be available.
