Baby’s photography – passport photo – get it right :)

A few days ago we decided to apply for Karina’s first passport. As the easier way we chose a photobooth. It was a disaster. The baby was wriggling, crying, we could not hide our supporting hands from the picture. Also, after pressing the shutter button in the photobooth we had to wait a few seconds for the camera’s reaction. During that time the baby kept changing positions. We had three attempts and the result below is the… best one. £5 wasted 🙂

Because we did not want to stress the baby we decided to go to the professional photographer, pay extra money and get it right! The first found in Waterlooville photographer from Richard James photography told us that he does not do passport photos. After he found our first try from the photobooth he had mercy for us and he took about 20 quick pictures of Karina. We both were quite impressed with his studio. We told him to choose the best picture, we paid another £5 in advance (good price 🙂 ) and we were told to collect the picture in the next few days. The result was another big disappointing. The light on the baby’s face was uneven and generally to dark. Was it really the best photo from 20 which were taken?? To be fair to him he said he does not do passport photos. Was it a good excuse?

In this case in decided to get it really right! I set up my flash guns with white umbrellas and I got this result:

Now I really feel free to say that I am the best 🙂 I am joking, I am not, however this rules worked again:

IF YOU WANT TO GET IT RIGHT – DO IT YOURSELF! 🙂
