TomTom sucks. This is for sure. Why? Because if you have a TomTom sat nav for Android and you want to backup your favorites – officially you won’t do this. If you are lucky and hood enough to root your Android device – your data is kept in data/data/com.tomtom.–mapname–/files/personal/po
In my personal case I couldn’t root my device, because my phone had a recent updates, and rooting was impossible with currently existing tools. It means I lost almost 100 favorites!!!
I decided to complain this situation directly in TomTom. Their letter was actually “we do not care, f*ck off, because we are not going t do anythuing”:

However, I have taken this as a feedback and would like to thank you for your feedback. Thank you for your ideas and suggestions. I will surely forward your suggestion to our Product Development Team.
